Chic & Modern Wedding Inspo with Stunning Greenery

Perfete / Friday September 21, 2018

White lace, succulents and all the most gorgeous greenery-focused bouquet? YAS PLEASE. The inspiration for this shoot all began with an air plant. “I had seen them used in bouquets before and loved the idea of incorporating something unique into my arrangements,” said Katie of Katie Bug Florals. “I love air plants and their ability to grow and thrive outside of soil and water. I also love their shape and color with the elegantly long tendrils that grow from the center out. I wanted to build all of my florals for this shoot in such a way that they looked like they were floating and growing out of thin air.”

“The tall arrangements used behind our bride were built on gold metal stands that allow the florals to climb and reach as if they were naturally occurring on the stands. I also loved the sort of modern yet bohemian feel that air plants lend to.”

“When planning the table scape, I wanted the arrangements to be simple and yet dramatic. I had been drawn to the Japanese flower arrangement style of Ikebana for a while and I felt that this shoot lent perfectly to that aesthetic. Ikebana allows every bloom used in the arrangement to shine on its own plain of existence.”
