Gorgeous Rooftop Wedding at The Peachtree Club in Atlanta

Brianna Kozlarek / Wednesday August 9, 2017

Happy #WeddingWednesday! Today we’re sharing a gorgeous rooftop wedding captured by our #PrettyPerfectPartner  Unique2Chic photography. Kylie and Jordan met at the University of Georgia as juniors in the Redcoat Marching Band. Kylie introduced Jordan to running when she ran her first half marathon in January of 2013 at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. The very next year, she convinced Jordan to train with her, and he was able to check a line off his bucket list and complete something he never thought possible – running 13.1 miles straight! The following year, they set off to Disney to run again together, and little did Kylie know he had even bigger plans for 2015. “After we finished the race together, he handed me a stack of envelopes with instructions to a scavenger hunt around Magic Kingdom,” said Kylie. “Each had a narrative written just for me about the adventures we would have together; with the last envelope leading me to the famous ‘partners’ statue in front of the castle. Jordan was waiting for me to ask me to spend our lives together, as partners in running and in life.” A proposal at Disney? What could be more romantic!

“True to the nature of our proposal, I wanted to feel like a princess on my wedding day,” said Kylie. “So naturally, I went with a full ball gown. Soft tulle fabrics, similar to the style of Belle’s ballroom gown from Beauty and the Beast in a truly fantastic shade of ivory. Wedding planning was so much fun. Honestly I don’t think I could have done it without Jordan – I am lucky in that we do truly everything as partners, so he was as involved as I was in planning – from the menu items, to the lighting, to the colors.”

The Ceremony

The Reception

“I still cry tears of pure joy every time I think about belting Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’ on the porch of the Peachtree Club on top of Atlanta, shortly after sunset, with every person that I love in the entire world,” said Kylie. “There will never be another time in life when I will have the privilege of having each and every person that I love in the same place at the same time. And there is no joy like singing at the top of your lungs on top of the world!

What is the best wedding advice Kylie can give to engaged couples? Enjoy the process. It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end. Your wedding will go by faster than you can ever fathom – take ‘snapshots’ in your mind every second along the way, and savor those moments that matter most – whether it’s dancing with an old friend, having a glass (or four) of wine with extended family, or taking your shoes off at the end of the night!”
