Brianna Kozlarek / Wednesday July 5, 2017

We hope you all had an amazing Fourth of July holiday! Going back to work mid week is never fun, so if you’re still in a daydreamy #OutOfOffice mood we’ve got the perfect distraction for you: Temi and Tayo’s breathtaking wedding in Cape Town. Suspended florals, hanging backdrops and glittering lighting are all effects made by expertly and detail planned modern wedding luxury decor. “When Temi and Tayo chose Cape Town for their destination wedding, our design team was thrilled that the very first exciting discussions for the look of their celebration was about elegant yet statement décor installations to completely transform their venue,” said Kate Diaz & Megan Kenney from Wedding Concepts.

The Ceremony

The couple’s ceremony was held at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Cape Town following which all guests were whisked off to the winelands. Guest arrived to a live jazz band, delicious cocktails and canapés in the Sunken Garden. Various lounging and cocktail styled furniture elements created a first glimpse into the colour scheme and décor style that lay ahead.

The Reception

The reception for 330 international guests was held at Cavalli Estate and the event venue is wonderful expanse of space that allows for incredible personalization. As guests stepped into the reception, the venue had been completely transformed into a magnificent scene of modern luxurious wedding décor. The suspended and layered décor concept comprised of dozen of fringe curtains fashionably separated by 8 meter long floral garlands and luxe draping, finished with an array of glittering crystal chandeliers that ran down the full length of the vast venue. The long banquet tables were dressed with elegant florals, dinner candles to enhance the atmosphere, and opulent handcrafted stationery which all worked together brilliantly to add texture and to showcase the colour scheme. As the sun set, inspired lighting effects took over and set the vibrant ambience for a night filled with heartfelt speeches and spontaneous singing and dancing! The towering wedding cake with alternating tiers of cake and flowers, along with the decadent dessert station and late-night snacks ensured guests had plenty of energy to party the night away to the highlight entertainment featured, talented South African House and HipHop DJ – DJ Voodoo.
