Kunbi O / Tuesday March 7, 2017

The bridal shower is the perfect chance to spend some quality girl time with your favorite ladies and celebrate before one of the biggest days of your life. We know things can get a bit crazy during all of the wedding planning (to say the least!) so we’ve compiled some of our favorite bridal shower themes to take some of the planning stress off your hands for this part! Check out these 5 Pretty Perfect Bridal Shower Themes and let us know some of your favorite themes in the comments!

1. Breakfast at Tiffany’s:

Okay this one is obviously a classic and commonly-done theme, BUT that doesn’t mean that you should stray away if your a die hard fan of Ms. Hepburn! You can go the traditional route with the color palette: think Tiffany blue everywhere with accents of silver and white; or you can contrast the perky blue with glamorous golds or bronze tones shown here. These rich tones add an extra luxurious feel to the glam event! Use a swirly script font for all of your paper goods and signage to continue the elegant theme, and when in doubt, adorn everything in pearls! We’re talking pearls everywhere. Have your ladies show up in their favorite LBD and be sure to stand out in your own classic tiara similar to the one worn by Audrey herself. Trust us, your girls will love it!

2.  Tea Party

It doesn’t get much more feminine and classic than an old fashioned tea party! This theme is for the girly girl who loves flowers, lace, and has a special place in her heart for vintage and old-fashioned styles. This color palette should be very soft, with light pastels of pinks and yellows and creams. Go for a delicate, handwritten look for your place cards and cute, dainty signs labeling the food/drink options. Did we mention flowers? There should be a ton of flowers in varying light shades, blossoming from the center pieces, adorning the food tables and really anywhere you can think! Dress up the tables with a vintage lace runner and set each place setting with a unique and different tea set to give it an eclectic feel. Guests should come in classic sundresses and large sun hats. Make the theme your own with a DIY tea blend bar! With choices like lavender, bergamot, and sage, help your guests create their own tea blend that’s just right for them. Pack their special blend into a cute take-home pouch or mason jar with a pretty ribbon to secure it and voila— instant party favor!

3.  Bride to Bee:

A fun play on words with even sweeter details, we love this bridal shower theme for the Bride to Bee. Think fun geometric designs, sweet treats and a color palette of beautiful yellows and golds. There are so many ways to play up the name, especially these adorable Meant to Bee favors. Dust off your degree from that mixology class and whip up some delectable drinks featuring, of course, a bit ‘o honey. Since flowers are so key to the Bee theme, we recommend going BIG with floral centerpieces and touches throughout. Think big, fragrant and colorful blooms.  For attire, we’re thinking garden party chic and sweet sundresses. And of course, for the Beyonce lovers out there (AKA everyone), there are some pretty obvious tie ins to take this theme to the next level.

4. Backyard Brunch Party

Seriously, who doesn’t love a good brunch on the weekends? Move the weekly Sunday brunch date to your place for your bridal shower! Now this theme is really going to focus heavily on the menu at your soiree. For starters, mimosas are a MUST. A DIY mimosa bar with different juice options would be cute, or you can have the classic OJ and champagne already poured in champagne glasses waiting for guests on a silver platter when they arrive. Have lots of classic brunch options like a bagel bar with different spreads, mini belgian waffles with a variety of toppings, and a fresh fruit salad. You can also have a station with the staples— coffee and doughnuts!

5. Chanel-Inspired Theme:

“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.” If you immediately knew who said this quote before even getting past the 4th word then this theme might just be perfect for you! Coco Chanel is all about sophisticated glamour. Keep your color palette simple with black and white and a pop of pink. Continue the theme by using the iconic Chanel No. 5 labels as table numbers or place cards. Incorporate lots of flowers and feminine touches such as mini perfume bottles with your favorite scent as party favors. You can even bring in a bit of French classics like the Eiffel Tower or macarons!
