Timeless & Traditional Columbus Wedding

Trends come and go, but you can never go wrong with a classic, timeless, traditional wedding. In fact it’s downright refreshing sometimes. We absolutely adore today’s real wedding from Columbus, Ohio. From bride Lindsay: “I’m sure every couple says this, but our wedding was an absolute dream. I cannot say enough about our amazing vendor team; they pulled out all the stops to make our vision a reality. We chose navy, gold, and ivory as our colors, because we wanted our wedding to be timeless. It helps that blue and gold are also the school colors for my alma mater, Notre Dame; a much more appealing wedding color combination than John’s Ohio State scarlet and grey, in my opinion! I still remember how I felt, walking into our room reveal and seeing all the flickering candlelight; it took my breath away. We decided from day one that we would not see each other before our ceremony. Instead, we had a “first moment”, on opposite sides of the Cathedral door. It was so special to have that time alone together, to be able to hear each other’s voices, hold hands, and say a quick prayer, while keeping it traditional and not actually seeing one another. That, and my “first look” with my dad, were two moments that I will never forget.” Style & Story Creative captured this stunning wedding. Take a look at our favorite shots:

The Reception

“One of the best pieces of advice we had been given was to take some time to step back and watch all our loved ones enjoying themselves, celebrating us,” said Lindsay.  “I loved looking out at the packed dance floor, with glow sticks and glow batons everywhere, seeing everyone dance like crazy to our incredible band. One of my favorite things was when some friends strung together a bunch of glow sticks to make a glow jump rope, and we all circled around to cheer on the jump ropers! I can’t think of a better ending to our night, than gathering in a circle and being serenaded by John’s fraternity brothers; it was perfect.”
