With wedding season in full swing, the pressure to get the best present is on. Every bride is different, but the stigma of getting awful, cliche or unusable wedding presents is all too real. Being less than 100 days away from saying, “I do” myself, I know the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to gifts. My grandma even tried to gift me “lingerie” (aka a floor-length nightie) for my bridal shower (gag). Finding the balance between personal and the perfect gift is a fine line. Customized gifts that celebrate the bride’s new last name is always aww-inducing, but finding that effect with a chic present is no easy task. That’s why I’m breaking down 10 gift ideas that any fashionable bride-to-be will love and cherish long after the wedding day.

10 Gifts The Bride-to-Be Would Actually Want

First off, leather is a great idea. It represents quality and longevity while being perfectly utilitarian and practical. The luxurious feel with a timeless style will get a victory clap out of your engaged friend without a doubt. My favorite source? Gigi New York. They are on trend, customizable leather goods at a variety of price points. That’s why this one store makes up a lot of my marriage gift must-haves.

The ‘Charlotte’ tote is the perfect daily carry all. It can easily transition from 9-to-5 approved lady boss bag to honeymoon ready beach tote. I love the idea of giving a “something blue” bag to a engaged friend! This “Kelly Saddle” bag is perfect for summer and easy enough to throw over her shoulder while exploring on her honeymoon.

If you are looking to spend a bit less or looking for a bridal shower or an engagement party gift, these little leather goods are meaningful and useful! Gigi New York’s notebooks are all customizable, so you can make them say Future Mrs., her new last name or just bride. The little zip card case is perfect for keeping some cash and hotel keys on lock during their first getaway as Mr. and Mrs. Plus, put her new initials on it for a sweet and caring detail. For her journey, you could get her a chic passport case to encourage wanderlust in the prettiest way. Bonus points if you can get it to coordinate with her wedding colors.

Maybe the bride-to-be is addicted to Instagram or works in tech? If that’s the case, a cute phone case will save her phone if turns into bridezilla and chucks it and can be adorned with her new initials. Look at you being a good friend. Plus, it is budget friendly at under $50.

Now, let’s talk jewelry. I always thought accessories were such an intimate gift. Consider this for your lifelong bestie or your college roommate who you have a close relationship with. To make it even more personal, you can give her a monogram pendant with her new last name incorporated (I wear mine all the time). If she isn’t a monogrammed and preppy type of woman, consider a roman numeral bar necklace with her wedding date (or the day she got engaged) as the numerals.

Bridal Gift Ideas

If you know your bride’s wedding theme, maybe taking care of one of the little details for her is a good idea! Things us brides forget are the cake cutter, ring pillow, cake topper and the guest book. This one from Scripted Ever After is so sweet because the artist uses the couple’s engagement pictures to create a silhouette of them on the cover! Too cute.

Lastly, back to more jewelry talk. Quality alternative-diamond pieces always gets a great reaction in my experience. My jewelry line, Everly, is all gold plated or sterling silver pieces with stones such as topaz, sapphire and simulated diamonds. Even if the bride-to-be takes a pass on wearing the earrings for the big day, there are so many other little events leading up to and after that they would be perfect for. These drops are only $49!

Finally, let’s talk rings. Many brides are hesitant to bring their real sparkler on their honeymoon for financial and emotional reasons. A “travel ring” is the perfect alternative. Pick the mind of the groom on the bride’s ring size and style so they can relax with a pretty (and not expensive) ring on their honeymoon. All styles are under $99 and the Palermo ring is featured above. Use code ‘APbride’ to get 15% off your Everly purchase so you can gift in bridal style.

What are your thoughts? Brides, share this link to friends and family to give them a hint in the right (gifting) direction.
