Hey yall!! Hope everyone is having a great week. We have accomplished SO much in these past few weeks I do not even know where to begin. We have booked and reserved pretty much everything & now we are just planning all of the tiny details which is so much fun. I never knew how extensive the planning process really is – SO much work goes into it because there are so many details to work out with every vendor you use.

One of the details I am thrilled about is FLOWERS! Everyone adores flowers & it is a main focal point for the wedding, so I spent a lot of time coming up with the perfect idea of what I want for bouquets and centerpieces. Thankfully, our florist Lindsey Mitchell with Leave It To Lindsey is AMAZING at what she does & I know she will be able to pull it off.

My all time favorite flower is peonies, so when we first started planning a wedding in February, most florists told me that I would not be able to get peonies… I thought that I had to suck it up and accept the fact that I would not have my favorite flowers at our wedding until I met Lindsey. She assured me that even though it is a bit more expensive, she would be able to get some for us! ☺ SO beyond thankful for her hard work!

My perfect image is lush, romantic & simply gorgeous. The main flowers I want to use are peonies, hydrangea & garden roses in white and light pink. Other flowers I really love are ranunculus, roses and Dahlias. I want the flowers to be a little loose giving a slight “garden” look. One thing I am undecided about is greenery in my bouquet. I think I want a little bit, but I am not completely sold on greenery as of now. Part of my bouquet that I am extremely excited about is my bouquet wrap! I shopped around for a monogrammed bouquet wrap for about two months & finally found the perfect one from Exclusively Weddings! I love the wrap they have on their website because it is simple, small & beautiful. It adds just the right touch. I added my new monogram in the color pink & it turned out perfectly!

Our centerpieces, alter arrangements and the entrance arrangement will definitely match our bouquets, but will probably have more garden roses, hydrangea and other flowers instead of a lot of peonies. We decided on having a mix between short and tall centerpieces to the room to give more interest to the room. I also want to make sure I have enough candles on the tables to give the room a romantic feel without having too much clutter on the tables.

Making the wedding as “us” & personal as possible is very important to me, so I am so glad I found a way to incorporate our favorite flowers, colors & other special touches into the arrangements! Are you doing anything with your flowers to make it special to you?
