New York has one…India has one…and now (well technically yesterday), the opulent SA Bridal Fashion Week™ launched at Sibaya Casino in Durban, South Africa. Fresh off the heels of the successful Cape Town Fashion Week, this event which runs from Aug 7th to Aug 10, will be South Africa’s only national wedding fashion event and one that targets all race groups across the rainbow nation.

In celebration of this groundbreaking new era, the folks over at Haute Fashion Africa (Africa’s foremost African Fashion Website) compiled their favorite unconventional Wedding Dresses from Cape Town Fashion Week’s SS 2015 collections:

… Like New York and India, South Africa has joined the heavyweights in showcasing talented and celebrated bridal fashion designers. SA Bridal Fashion Week’s key features include a choreographed combination of themed designer catwalk shows covering exclusive new collections by couture bridal designers (Local & International), emerging and student designers, as well as boutiques for brides, grooms, bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, mother and father of the Bride & Groom, as well as for the guests…bridal wear and evening wear for all the rainbow brides and catering for every cultural background.
